On the 3-Day Western Route, you can opt for either Fox Glacier or Franz Josef Glacier, which are conveniently located side by side. Our tour guide will select one of these glaciers based on the day’s weather conditions. Fox Glacier is often the preferred choice due to its shorter flight distance and higher success rate for excursions.

Central Route Highlights

On the 3-Day Central Route, you have the option to explore the Hooker Valley Track in Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park. At the end of this trail, you’ll find a glacial lake where you can witness glaciers floating on the water from up close. Alternatively, you can choose to participate in a self-paid glacier heli hike, one of the most popular glacier activities. This adventure provides an aerial view of the glacier’s expanse, followed by a landing on the ice, allowing you to experience massive blue ice seracs and ice caves at close range. A. Working Hours of 10 hours
Between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM, begins when we pick you up. Any overtime should be mutually agreed upon, and additional charges may apply.

B. Tour Guide Service
Tour guides primarily handle transportation and provide local assistance during your journey (excluding accompanying you into attractions).

C. Whether tour guides accompany you inside attractions or not Please note that our tour guides do not
accompany you inside attractions, but if you request, you are responsible for their admission ticket fees.

D. Driving speed and rest breaks during the journey
In principle, the driver takes a break every 2 hours while traveling on highways, national roads, or provincial roads. During rainy or snowy seasons, the driver may reduce speed for safety reasons or use tire chains. Please avoid rushing the driver in these circumstances.

E. Itinerary modifications and on-the-road stops
During the journey and with the guest’s consent, it’s possible to rearrange the order of attractions to better suit personal preferences, time of day, and distances between sites, provided it doesn’t disrupt the overall itinerary. Additionally, when traveling, if safe and within traffic regulations, you can communicate with the driver to make stops for sightseeing when beautiful scenery is spotted.
